it's over and we made it.

well we got through the holidays without anyone loosing an eye. yea for us here on the turtle farm. i do think i killed santa for T1 though she caught me talking about how i swore i bought the right marshmallows for the shooters "santa" brought. the weird thing is that i'm not sad at this thought i know it's a sign of growing up when they don't believe anymore but our budget is very tight and as they get older it seems like "santa" is getting the wishes they know we don't have the money to buy. at least if they knew i wouldn't feel so bad about not wanting to go into the poor house trying to get them the ipad xbox laptop ps4 they asked for. i watched more than a few friends max out credit cards and take out "payday" loans to get their friends and family what was on their wish lists. why? isn't christmas supposed to be about being together more than the giving? where does it say you have to give till you can't afford to eat for the next year because you took out loans?

that being said we had a great day. marshmallow wars and a very late dinner (the next day to be honest, we are the turtle farm after all). it was a lot of fun

T1 and T3 having a good time. sorry about the sideways thing still learning how to turn the video

the dogs enjoyed the marshmallow war too. until they got belly aches. you know that 5 bags is too many when the dogs stop eating them. :)

we have begun the prep for ice fishing and we're all excited. hopefully by mid february we'll be catching perch by the ton. (not really gotta say with in the limits but with 5 fishermen it will be close)

please everyone be safe this winter it's a cold one.
