my 1st (guess i'm not a virgin anymore)

See I made you look!!!

yes this is my 1st shot at a blog. i'm not looking for anything to add crap to to make money just looking for a place to share what we do in the boonies in maine.

so here's a little background

i'm a stay at home mom with 3 kids, 5 dogs, a cat, and of course the hubby. i dabble in almost everything crafty, bake my own bread (this is a matter of saving space versus saving money my kids live on cheese sandwiches and go through 1 loaf a day it's easier to store the stuff to make the bread than to have 15-20 loaves of bread in the freezer at the beginning of the month). i enjoy target shooting and the hike through the woods up to the actual kill of the hunt. (just not ready to kill bambi yet but i do enjoy eating him) i am not politically correct and tend to swear and talk about inappropriate things.

hubby is at home with me full time. he is a disabled vet (USAF 92-99) he worked until 2007 when his back got so bad he couldn't walk anymore. we've been married for 18 years argue, are smart asses, and love each other. he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and mechanic. he's brutally honest and always expects the same from other people.

the kids (i call them my herd of turtles) are 10, 8 and 6 right now.

turtle #1  a girl and very much a girlie girl but she likes 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and shooting. we call her our jane boy

turtle #2 girl is 8 and has no fear. she also has ADD and an anxiety disorder we have yet to have an official name for she's highly strung emotional and brutally honest with a great sense of humor. she enjoys her "selfness" and has no qualms about being herself (a trait i hope she never loses)

turtle #3 is 6 our boy and our last. he has everyone wrapped around his fingers. he's rough thinks he's 30 and knows everything.

the animals will be introduced as i go because they are like the kids they end up with their own stories.

we live in one of maine's many tiny unorganized territory towns we have no grocery store and no gas station. we have learned to live off of creativity and spend a lot of time just doing nothing but bugging each other. we moved here in 2005 and fell in love with it right away. with 5 lakes with in an 8 mile circle of our house we couldn't ask for anything more.
